What is Patchmagic?
Patchmagic is a new way of helping you to reach your perfect weight. You can make up your own plan, adding any of these steps into your existing regime. Sometimes it takes a number of techniques to make a successful weight-management plan.
The Patches
There are two strengths of patches available, and most people will begin on the full-strength patches, and then drop down to the normal strength for maintenance. Always telephone for guidance before ordering your patches on-line.
Keeping a record
I will post a record chart to you, and you can choose how you would like to keep a record, and how often. The two most important measurements to keep are your weight - and your WAIST measurement.
How quickly does the patch work?
The transdermal delivery of the patches means that a steady stream of influence is maintained over a 24-hour period. The minute quantities of ingredients have a subtle influence, and the system is not over-loaded in any way. The gentle effect of the patch builds over time, and you may not appreciate the benefits in the first month.
Where do I place the patch?
Rotate the patch site so that your skin can be free for three days between patches. There is a patch placement chart that Mary Anne will post or e-mail to you when you enquire about the patches. There are many suitable sites - the most popular sites are on the shoulders, and on the shins! The sites that are NOT recommended are on the places where there are the thickest layers of fat! So not on your bum!
Are there any side-effects?
The main side-effect is that your clothes may not fit you soon! Seriously, there are no drug interactions and people on medication do not need to worry. If you are on diabetic medication, you will know that as you lose weight your medication will have to be reduced, and if you have high blood pressure, it will probably reduce as you lose weight. For this reason, you would have to liase with your practice nurse. For those people who have low blood pressure, the patches are included in the category of a supplement and any supplement or medication has to be taken with care, and your blood pressure monitored for any change.

What effects will I feel?
Many people watch the scales eagerly - I recommend you weigh yourself every two weeks, and measure your waist. Some people realise that there is 'something happening' when they appreciate a boost of extra energy.

Do I have to diet while on the patches?
The patches help you to lose weight if you are on a sensible eating plan. This means no cakes! There are some 'keys' below to remind you of what a sensible diet means, as if you didn't know already!
Can I combine the patches with any other diet plan?
Yes - they will simply increase the rate of weight reduction, and possibly help you to feel more comfortable by enabling you to reduce cravings or reduce unwanted dips in energy.
